A repeatable workflow for batch text reports
Name and export the drafts
Use meaningful filenames and export to UTF-8. Select up to ten supported files within the total size limit. A filename becomes a report label, so remove personal information from it if the report will be shared.
Review individual reports
Each file has its own JSON report with words, code points, grapheme clusters, non-whitespace code points, lines, paragraphs and UTF-8 byte size. Open the report in a text editor to inspect the numeric fields. JSON and CSV include the filename but never include your draft text.
Use the combined CSV
summary.csv places one file on each row. Fields are quoted, and a filename beginning with a spreadsheet formula marker is prefixed with an apostrophe. This is a protective export measure; review any externally sourced filename before opening the report in a spreadsheet.
Record the conditions
Keep your exported report with the source revision date, selected language and browser version when reproducibility matters. The download is a real local file, but clicking Download does not prove that your browser finished saving it. Check your downloads folder.
